The Speed Reading & Classics of Literature curriculum is an all-in-one literature, comprehension, vocabulary and speed reading builder! It is appropriate for 3rd graders and above - including adults who want to learn to read faster and be able to absorb more information! Students begin by reading The Hobbit along with the audio version of the text at 200 words per minute. The audio text is steadily time-compressed to 600 words per minute as the student makes their way through the book. In addition to the speed reading exercises, one classic of literature is read each week throughout the semester and vocabulary and comprehension exercises are built into the curriculum. At the end of this first semester course you and your child will have significantly increased your reading speed and have read many of the wonderful classics of literature!
